About Humbled Catholic

Aarynn is a cradle Catholic, meaning she was born into the Catholic faith, but she unknowingly was living very luke-warm to her Catholicism with one foot in Protestant theology and the other in the Catholic church. She truly thought God had her in the Catholic church to help change/modernize it, but over time God gently humbled her time and time again and He used his church to change her heart instead. Aarynn struggled with many Catholic doctrines, and this book is her personal story about how she came to know, understand, and love the fullness of Catholic teaching in adulthood.

2020 was really the awakening year where so many aspects of her faith that felt cloudy and surface-level began to feel clear and personal for the first time in her life. Aarynn experienced numerous challenges that year, from health issues to the loss of her infant son, and she talks about how God used those experiences to draw her closer to Him. This book is full of personal and vulnerable stories to which she hopes readers can connect, with the goal that it may draw them closer to the fullness of God's truth within the church Jesus himself founded.
