Why Aarynn wrote Humbled Catholic 

Aarynn's deep love for her Catholic faith did not happen overnight. That’s what this book is for. She wants to share how she overcame many of her misunderstandings of and hang-ups with the Catholic church. Some of her biggest ones being church authority, the role of Mary, contraception, and the necessity of the sacraments. Although her intense study into the church started in 2020, she had been learning about her faith and seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord ever since she can remember. She had just not always used Catholic resources to do so.

Conversion stories have been so impactful in Aarynn's own faith journey. Although her story is not a true Catholic conversion story, since she has never ceased to be Catholic, Aarynn believes that her story is one that God wants her to share to help deepen the Catholic faith of many of her brothers and sisters out there, who are lost in a sea of confusion and misunderstanding. So many Catholics attend mass and may even participate in sacraments without knowing the reasons behind what they are doing. That was Aarynn. She believes that without understanding, faith slowly dies.

Aarynn's prayer is that this book will strengthen our Catholic church body from within and awaken many sleepy souls to the excitement, peace, joy, and truth of the Catholic church. If you have been born and baptized into the Catholic church, you have been given an amazing gift! Many search their whole lives to find that gift. Many Catholics do not understand what a gift they possess. In addition to helping strengthen the church from within, Aarynn hopes and prays that this book might help to restore the faith of those who have left the Catholic church and also give understanding to her many friends and family who are faithful Christians of other denominations.
